I experienced my own personal chronic pain journey and through it learned of breakthroughs in neuroscience that pointed to better proven solutions. These solutions put me in control and helped me take back my health.

Once I experienced my personal breakthrough, I knew I wanted to help others suffering needlessly who had lost hope in the healthcare system.

I combine pain science education to equip you with both the knowledge and somatic practices to not only help you understand your symptoms, but empower you to become your own partner in the healing process creating the life you long to live. This approach is inspired by the groundbreaking work of leaders in trauma healing, pain science, and nervous system regulation, including Dr. John Sarno, Dr. Howard Schubiner, and Alan Gordon. These pioneers in pain science inform the way I guide you toward a deeper understanding of your chronic pain and help your body rediscover its capacity for healing and resilience.

Pain is not just a physical sensation - it’s a complex experience shaped by how the brain and nervous system process messages from the body. Pain is simply a message. Through pain science education, I’ll help you:

  • Understand the purpose of pain and why pain persists past the normal time of the healing process into what is commonly called “chronic pain.”

  • Learn how specific personality traits combined with stress, emotions, and past experiences can amplify these messages from the brain, which unfortunately often produce a negative effect limiting the function of the body.

  • Discover how to shift away from a fear/pain cycle and chronic symptoms and regain control of your body to live your best life now.

Somatic practices

Since what we call “chronic pain” is a warning message from the brain to the body when the brain perceives a threat. Then the purpose of somatic practices serve as a way to send a message of safety from the body back to the brain.

These simple tools can be used to help your nervous system release stored stress and tension and restore nervous system regulation.

This process focuses on:

  • Reconnecting the body and mind to build resilience and restore balance.

  • Assisting in expanding the capacity of your nervous system out of a state of chronic stress patterns that can easily be triggered to one that feels safe.

  • Giving you the hope to commit to the journey and process of a healing path that seek to restore and not just manage symptoms.
